boycookieMindless eating is eating for any reason other than hunger. This behavior is most commonly prompted by everyday emotional instances such as stress, boredom, restlessness, guilt, sadness, anxiety…the list goes on. Breaking the pattern: Stop, drop and roll. Stop munching long enough to recognize the behavior. Drop the food that is filling in for the unwanted feeling. Roll with the uneasy feeling. Now you’ve interrupted the trance, you’re well on your way to dealing with uncomfortable feelings rather than stuffing them down with food.
