Welcome to the category of my blog simply called ‘Healthy Tips.’ Many times, when I write articles for various publications, I need to find sources for the story as seen in Yahoo Shine (click here) or PBS (click here) about staying healthy. I was looking for experts and non-experts to chime in and give their favorite ‘tips’ to help kids and adults lead a healthy lifestyle.
The feedback for various stories was amazing. The sources had some fantastic points of view that could not be ignored, and I thought their opinions should be viewed on the Your Health Journal web site.
So, enjoy my new series, with some ‘great’ insight from some ‘great’ people giving exceptional and educational points of view.
Great advice from Nick Goodall…..
One thing for someone to do? Well, I wouldn’t suggest eating an apple a day (even though that’s great advice) because anyone knows that it would be a good thing to do, or cut back on food item x. What I’d recommend is that you keep a little notebook with you at all times and ‘track’ everything that you put into your mouth. This way you know for sure whether you’re sticking to your new apple a day discipline, or if you’ve been slacking with an extra bag of crisps in the evening. It’ll also put you face to paper with what you’ve been eating, and if you don’t like what you write, nmaybe you’ll think twice about eating it next time. Turn this into a habit and you’ll see the results pile up.
