saladplateMy one piece of advice to help anyone live a healthier lifestyle this year is to get rid of the processed foods! Many people join a gym at the start of the New Year and wonder why after a couple months of training they just aren’t seeing a real difference. What most people don’t understand is that exercise cannot undo bad food choices. You have to eat right to get the best results from your work outs. Eating clean will give you more energy, help you lose weight and help you lead a healthier lifestyle overall. The bottom line is buy fresh produce, usually located on the outer aisles of the grocery store. Avoid foods with long shelf lives and instead choose foods that are perishable. Do this for a few short weeks and you will notice a difference in your body, and your cravings for unhealthy processed foods will disappear!
