Welcome to the category of my blog simply called ‘Healthy Tips.’ Many times, when I write articles for various publications, I need to find sources for the story as seen in Yahoo Shine (click here) or PBS (click here) about staying healthy. I was looking for experts and non-experts to chime in and give their favorite ‘tips’ to help kids and adults lead a healthy lifestyle.
The feedback for various stories was amazing. The sources had some fantastic points of view that could not be ignored, and I thought their opinions should be viewed on the Your Health Journal web site.
So, enjoy my new series, with some ‘great’ insight from some ‘great’ people giving exceptional and educational points of view.

The top three health changes we need to make this year…..
1. Water
Resolve to drink more water. Instead of buying water, buy a good water filtering system and a solid reusable container that you can carry with you. Your kidneys and lymph need to filter daily. By buying your own home filtering system, you are contributing less to cluttered waste for the earth.
2. Meditate
Meditation rejuvenates the cells, organs, and systems and de-stresses you. Get quiet, go within so that you can activate your healthy cells. Meditation activates and nourishes the pineal gland, the most important gland in your body and the one that gets nourished in a deep alpha wave length sleep. Meditation is important for recovery.
3. More home cooked meals
Resolve to cook more at home. Home cooked meals with fresh ingredients are healthier for you. And can be fast and easy. Make cooking at home a family affair. Make your children cooking assistants! Cook with your partner! Only use the best and freshest ingredients. You will be healthier and happier for the time you spend in nourishing yourself and your family with REAL food!
