exercisepartners(1) Find an accountability partner. Whatever your health goal is this year, be it eating healthier or exercising more, find someone who you can discuss your lifestyle goals with and who will check in on you and make sure that you are staying committed. Being held accountable is a great motivator to make sure you don’t fail at your New Year’s commitment to yourself.

(2) Take home more leftovers. Eating out is where we all stumble on our diets in the new year. In all fairness, most of those meals are definitely more than a single serving. So before you even start eating, decide you will take home half of your meal. Not only will you be decreasing your caloric intake, you will notice that you will eat slower, enjoy your food more, and walk away with a new found sense of willpower.
