Today’s Guest – Michelle Noble

A role model is someone others respect and look to as a good example. They try to make good decisions, put others first and often imitated by those around them.  They “think before they act….not act before they think.”  They are the people we want our children to be around, whether it is a teacher, coach or family member.  Your Health Journal wanted to highlight some special individuals who are good role models and allow them to share their stories here.  Enjoy!

1. Your name, title, and age? What do you do (or did you do) for a living?

Michelle Noble, LMT, BF, CFMW. Founder of The Calmer Mom Project. 47 yrs old. I am a life coach and certified hands-on healer who specializes in helping stressed-out Moms find the ease and joy of motherhood at every stage, through pregnancy to being the parent of a grown child.

2. Who was the person that inspired you as a child to eat healthy and stay fit? What was their relationship to you?

My father has always been strong and physically active. Both of my parents have a healthy, positive relationship with their bodies.

3. What did they do to inspire you?

My dad always went out running regularly, hiked and climbed mountains when I was a child. That taught me that being active was a choice and worth investing time in. My parents are now in their mid-70s and though they have both faced cancer, and my dad has had heart issues and chronic pain, both of them pro-actively choose to take ownership in their lives and health. I would say they choose to be living vs. dying every day.

4. How did their lesson change your life?

My parents taught me that creating your life is a choice. My dad had a sign in his office that said, “Man is not affected by events, but by the view he takes of them.” I’ve always been aware that life is full of possibilities and everything is changeable. Becoming a mom was the most challenging transition of my life, both physically and emotionally. The empowerment my parents modeled encouraged me to keep asking for better, easier, and happier, and that quest led me to the Access Consciousness tools I now share with my Mama clients and their children.

5. Do you convey their message to kids in your life presently?

Absolutely! Being a mom is a daily practice of letting go of outcomes and control. My target is to role model for my kids, their friends, and the kids that come to energy transformation classes that I teach that we don’t have to play small or be resigned to what we have. We also don’t have to accept other people’s version of what’s possible. We get to choose!

6. What would be your main message to children today to lead healthy lifestyles?

Treat your body like your best friend. Every day ask it what it would like to eat, how it would like to move and play. Ask it to give you information about what will make your life easier and more fun. Trust and practice listening to your body and it will never let you down.

7. Do you have a web site you would like to promote….web address only?

  1. My name is Larry Anderson and I am proud to be Michelle Noble’s father. As a child Michelle always had “The World is my Oyster” approach to life that made her successful in everything. She was a joy. This may sound like a typical doting father and it is, but go ahead and contact her and get to know her. She is good at what she does. You won’t be sorry.
