Simple Tips To Improve Your Alexa Rank, Google Page Rank, Social Media Skills, And SEO.

There are a multitude of factors that have direct results to improve search rankings for key terms, traffic, and site authority. Here are a few tips that are easy for the average, non-techie site owner to implement.

1. These days content is king and on-site optimization only gets site owners so far. Content should be high quality and should average 400-500 words per page site-wide. It’s best to let the content sit unchanged and age. It’s critical that the content be unique. Make sure the content or even a portion of it isn’t already published elsewhere. Tools like Copyscape can help with this initiative. After the content is live, check every few months to make sure content thieves haven’t stolen a portion of it. If it has been plagiarized, Google has a copyright infringement process which can be used to help prevent the plagiarized content from outranking the original content in search results.

2. Site owners should use guest posting as a way to earn inbound links to their site. Links pointing to a site are one of the factors the search engines use to determine a website’s credibility. Ideally guest posts should be on sites with related content and topics. Most site owners who accept guest posts will offer a link which can be incorporated into the author bio of the post.

3. Put social share buttons on pages of your website. Social share buttons allow users to share a link to a site on their social networks. The search engines are using social share signals as part of their algorithms. Social sharing can also drive traffic to important pages of a site.
